This afternoon, Home Meal, the company that owns Nostrum, has informed the Alternative Stock Market (MAB) of the important agreement.
The master franchisee will open 50 new Nostrum premises in the Île de France area that will enter into service over the next five years.
Home Meal, owner of Nostrum, chain of takeaway establishments, has signed the first master franchise agreement in France. This will mean the opening of 50 establishments in Paris and surrounding areas. The contract establishes that the expansion must be made effective during the next five years and, in addition, there is the commitment that the first local will be in a unique space of the capital of France. The master franchise has exclusivity in the area of Ille de France, in the departments of Paris, Siene et Marne, Yvelines, Essone, Hauts de Siene, Saint Denis, Val de Marne and Val d'Oise. The news has released this same Home Meal, through a statement sent to the Alternative Stock Market (MAB), where the company is listed since December 2014.
This agreement is a further step in consolidating the growth of Nostrum in the French market, as a result of the successful implementation of the model in other cities in the same country. At the moment it counts on several establishments in the south of France like Montpellier, Avignon and Aix-en-Provence. Soon it will also open in Toulouse and Sophia Antipolis.
Sources at Home Meal consider that "this is a strategic contract, as it will accelerate the growth of its franchise network, currently configured by 134 establishments, and significantly increase the visibility of the Nostrum brand in Europe, which is expected to propitie more master franchise firms. "
Growth through franchising
The growth of Nostrum, which has reached 134 establishments, is generated basically through franchising. In recent years it has been an important source of self-employment and, at the moment, there is an increase in the number of premises that are opened as an investment since yields are substantially higher than those provided by most financial products. Some of the premises are owned by the same company. Nostrum, which opened its first establishment in 1998 in Barcelona, is present in many of the great cities of the state and has recently begun its expansion in France.
